Traveler’s Campground in Alachua, Florida is one of those rare parks that truly has something for everyone. Located just minutes from the University of Florida in Gainesville, this is a natural home base for Gator families, move-in weekends, and football Saturdays when the swamp gets loud. But Traveler’s is also a long-term community, a place where extended-stay guests put down roots and stay for seasons at a time. And then there’s the rescue farm. Donkeys, pigs, emus, chickens, cows, and birds, all rescues, all living their best lives right on the property. It’s the kind of thing that turns a one-night stop into a two-night stay.
